About CLEAN PAC

Welcome to the CLEAN PAC website. If you care deeply about climate change, clean energy, and environmental protection as I do, then waiting passively for Congress to do the right thing is simply not an option. Not with a problem as urgent as climate change. And not with corporate polluters spending unprecedented sums of money deceiving the public and pushing their agenda of fossil fuel extraction and climate denial.

We must move Congress beyond gridlock and endless debate. We need bold action and global leadership, and we need it now. The disastrous impacts of climate change are already being felt around the world. The longer we wait for climate leadership, the harder and more expensive our choices will be.

That’s why I created CLEAN PAC—to fight back against the polluters and climate deniers who want Congress to ignore the problem; and to support climate champions in Congress who respect science and will fight every day for clean energy, clean air, clean water and strong environmental policies.

While climate change is daunting, we are not powerless to face this threat. There are solutions. We can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and avert the worst impacts of climate change while providing broad social, economic and environmental benefits. And we can do much more to adapt to and mitigate impacts of climate change that are expected to worsen in the years ahead.

We owe it to our children and grandchildren to do these things.

Despite the fossil fuel industry’s disinformation efforts, I believe the American public gets it and will support bold action on climate change. The overwhelming consensus of the world’s science community supports such action. The problem is Congress. It’s time to break the grip of the oil, gas and coal barons who are blocking climate action in Congress. But for that to happen, we must have more climate champions in office. CLEAN PAC will help elect those champions.

Addressing climate change will be the mother of all team efforts. Given the incredibly high stakes, we must work together and we must get to work right now. Thank you for joining me in confronting one of the great imperatives of our lifetime.

Warm regards,

Rep. Jared Huffman (CA - 2nd District)
